テキサス親父とは、Youtubeにて「プロパガンダ・バスター（PropagandaBuster）」と名乗るイタリア系アメリカ人男性である。
本名はトニー・マラーノ（Tony Marano）。1949年ニューヨーク州ブルックリン生まれで独身。誕生日は2月19日。アメリカ合衆国テキサス州在住で年金生活をしながら、YouTubeへ世界のありとあらゆる悪や不正を軽快なトークでねじ伏せる動画投稿を続けている。現在はテキサス親父日本事務局を通してニコニコへ動画を投稿している。厳格なクリスチャンで、保守派。両祖父母がイタリア人だが、トニーの両親が生まれる前に移住してきたため、アメリカ国籍を持つ。両親とは英語とイタリア語の両方で会話していたそうだが、イタリア語はもう忘れてしまっているため現在は英語しか話せないが、時々イタリア語を使うことがある。
1979年にテキサスへ引っ越した。アメリカ最大手の電話会社AT&Tで30年間勤務し、2006年に定年退職を迎えた。退職後は新聞社に意見投書するなどをして余生を過ごそうとしていたが、保守言論への扱いが悪かったために激怒していたところにYoutubeの存在を知る。当初はアメリカの政治だけを扱う予定だったが、シー・シェパードを動画で扱ったところに日本からのたくさんの意見が届いた。同時にニコニコで字幕付き動画が出回るようになり、一気に日本での人気を得るようになった。なお、「テキサス親父はテキサスの自宅でステーキ店を経営している」と知られていたが、これは完全にデマである（後述）。定年退職後は年金生活で長い余生を楽しんでいるという。
保守派としてよく知られているが、自由を愛する根っからのアメリカ人男性である。扱う題材は主にシー・シェパードだが、日本からの賛同者が増えたため日本の政治問題も扱うようになってきた。またトニーは自由を愛しており、反共産主義・反社会主義の観点から中国や北朝鮮などの批判を行なっている。自由民主主義の観点から中東への批判を、アジアでは日本・韓国・台湾の擁護を行なっている。
2007年9月頃からYoutubeに投稿し始めてから今日までほぼ毎日更新しているため、世界中のYoutuberに知られている可能性がある。成田空港での出迎えで、トニーの写真を印刷した大きいウェルカムボードを見たほかの外国人旅行客や乗務員たちまでもが、トニーのことを知っているという反応をよく見せていた（来日情報に後述）。
とにかく日本と日本製品が大好きで、日本製を買い揃えないと気が済まない。パソコンは東芝製、デジカメはキヤノン製を使っている。明治製菓製のチョコレートと、ドラマ版ごくせんのヤンクミ（仲間由紀恵）が大好き。誰かTRICKの英語版を見せてあげて。
